Recommend it to: That like a good game adaptation. Don’t expect too much other than funfair.

An orphan boy turned prince because the king saw in him a noble soul. It was a wise choice, because Dastan becomes the prince that saves the day, so to speak. Prince Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) finds a dagger that has the sands of time in it that allows the user to reverse time around him. Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) wants the dagger to return to its holy spot. They ended up having to travel together. Their banter adds to the fun of the adventure to save Dastan’s family and to give back Princess Tamina’s city. Prince of Persia.

Prince of Persia had action and adventure that lasted the entire run time, which is fantastic. It made for an entertaining film. It’s a very good game adaptation. Best parts had to do with Gyllenhaal and Arterton bantering. Their chemistry was enjoyable and humorous.

Other than the fact that Prince of Persia had entertaining action, a great couple and amusing lines, it was just a fun movie that made the 2010 Meh May a little better. So May rocketed with Iron Man 2 and ended on petering out with trash that put May 2010 11% behind May 2009, but ending with a little above average fun action movie Prince of Persia. The weekend take wasn’t a WHOLE lot for Disney, but they should be pleased that people even wanted to go to the movies after this miserable May.
