Well gosh golly gee whiz, Discovery Communications has signed a deal with Sarah Palin to air "Sarah Palin's Alaska," (working title): an eight-part "documentary" that will air on TLC and be produced by "Survivor" and "Apprentice" exec Mark Burnett.
"Our family enjoys Discovery's networks," said the ethically-questionable former Governor. "I look forward to working with Mark to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans."
Bollocks. If I want to see the "wonder and majesty of Alaska," I'll go to Alaska. I can't see this as anything but eight-part propaganda show designed to keep Palin in the public eye and show her to be the down-home, moose-killing, tea-bagging, bridge-to-nowhere-approving, can-see-Russia-from-her-back-porch maverick that her team of image experts have carefully constructed her to be.
On the plus side, I guess we'll be seeing more guest appearances of Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live.
