
We mentioned back in April last year that Bob Weinstein was working on a reboot of the seen-it-once-seen-it-too-many-times 80's robot flick "Short Circuit."
And now a mere 18 months later, we have news that the project is indeed going forward and that b-list director Steve Carr will be at the helm, watching it crash and burn on takeoff.
Carr, as you may not be aware - has directed such epic hits (snicker) as Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Are We Done Yet? Daddy Day Care and Dr. Doolittle 2. So yeah, you just KNOW this one is going to be a blockbuster.

The need to look on Deviant Art and they'll find great stories to turn into movies. Revamping redoing and re anything in the past 30 years isn't good enough or smart enough.
