New Line Cinema has greenlit a remake of the 1955 Broadway musical comedy "Damn Yankees" and both Jake Gyllenhall and Jim Carrey are set to star in it.
The Tony-award winning musical is the story of a NY Yankees baseball player signing a deal with the devil in order to help out his team. The musical ran for over 1,000 performances. It was revived in 1994 and won the Tony again.
Alex from Firstshowing has the details on the adaptation.
