I didn't know Heath Ledger prior to his early departure, but from reading his comments about acting and movies I have to wager a fairly great guess that he would so not agree with this. He never thought he was a fantastic actor. He always thought he could do better and I'm pretty sure he would think that someone could do better than him with this role. I am all for memorializing people for their great attributes, but you can't get rid of the Joker just because the actor is dead. Have you seen the Youtube video of the guy that reenacts scenes from movies? He's a bit husky but his reenactment of some of the Dark Knight scenes are fantastic. If he can pull off the Joker there is someone else that can do it.You just have to make sure that the person who is doing it is following Heath's lead and doing as he did as close as possible, if not better. People will always criticize--they did that when Heath was picked. It's the way of the game. Blacklisting a character because an actor is dead is just lame.
