Not a damn thing new is opening this weekend at the box office.
However, this holiday hiatus does make for an interesting observation, though. Because there are no new films opening, this weekend's totals for films already out will be a good indication of the true value of a movie's worth.
I'm going to bet that this weekend might see an increase in popularity for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" as word of mouth might help this movie along. The rest of the films in the top ten, will probably sink like a rock.
Next week will have the release of "Bride Wars," "The Unborn," and the expansion of Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino" to wide release. It should be interesting.
