Franklyn Trailer

Hold your breath because this movie not only has Ryan Phillippe in it, but it actually looks really good. After a sting of miss steps in movie choices, as well as in life choices, he might actually redeem himself and show he can act himself out of box like Cruel Intentions showcased. With a haunting mask as well as great looking sets and interesting creative visuals this movie's trailer is setting the bar high.

But like someone said so did The Spirit and we all know how hard that film fell and busted. Hopefully for the sake of our movie going hearts, as well as for the sake of Ryan Phillipe's career, this film proves otherwise.

Release Date: 20 February 2009 (UK)

A release date for the US (as far as I gather from the wonderful informative internet) has yet to be set. How....quaint.

Have you seen Breach or Stop-Loss? Ryan Phillippe doesn't have anything to prove. And Franklyn is supposedly nothing like The Spirit, thankfully. 2/3 of the film takes place in modern London and the remaining 1/3 thread with RP is a parallel futeristic universe. Personally, I hope it comes to the US or we'll have to wait for DVD. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

If you haven't seen Ryan Phillippe in anything since Cruel Intentions you've missed some good movies and well done performances. Check out Way of the Gun with Benico Del Torro, Crash, or Flag of Our Fathers.

Franklyn looks interesting. I'm not going to miss it.

I've seen Stop-Loss and, Crash and Flag of our Fathers but nothing out of those proves how good he can be. They just seem like doing his job. He's not bad or horrible. He's good, just not great.
