Hollywood News: Weekend Box Office Recap

Shia LaBeouf kicked Richard Gere's geriatric ass to the curb in the box office race this weekend by almost $16 million. "Nights in Rodanthe" heartwearmed its middle-aged way to second place behind "Eagle Eye." Meanwhile, it was a race to the bottom as Samuel L. Jackson's film "Lakeview Terrace" dropped 53% from its previous #1 opening weekend to land in 3rd place, "My Best Friend's Girl" dropped 54% from last weekend to settle in 8th place and "The Family that Preys" fell 56% to go from 6th to 10th place.
