Who could have imagined that more people decided to watch Dallas beat Green Bay, or a 60 Minutes Interview with McCain and Obama than watch the awards telecast?
Actually, I am surprised that whatever may have been on your local public access channel didn't beat the telecast.
Neilsen Media Research says that their early estimates are that the glad-handing, TV pat-on-the-back fest was watched by a little over 12 million people. Last year's borecast was watched by 13 million. In fact, according to Neilsen, this may be the lowest rated telecast in Emmy history.
