Weekend Box Office Recap
Dug up by

The Batman flick managed to beat out the stoner movie and hold its title as the number one movie in America for a record fourth straight weekend. In the 24 days that the film has been in the box office, "The Dark Knight" has grossed almost half a billion dollars.
Meanwhile, "Pineapple Express" bows in at number two, bringing in over $22 million, which suggests that the stoner genre is back in business.
The biggest sinker for the weekend is the latest Mummy sequel, which dropped %60 from its opening numbers to bring in $16 million. Director Rob Cohen's latest flick is on an express ride out of the top ten, putting ideas of resurrecting the franchise into doubt.
