TV to beat Newspapers for Ad Sales

A new study from a private equity firm shows that for the first time in history, broadcast television will receive more advertising money than newspapers. This is due in part to the hype surrounding the presidential race and the Olympics falling on the same year.

However, this illustrious title is finite, as the firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson also claims that Internet advertising sales will beat both broadcast and newspapers in as little as three years, growing by as much as 12% and bringing in almost $60 billion in ad sales.

The Hollywood Reporter (via Yahoo!) has more info.
