Green Light on Public Broadcasting Raises Hope

Pat Harrison, the CEO for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting made the announcement that the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education (“Labor-HHS”) unanimously approved the Fiscal Year 2009 appropriations bill that provides funding for the CPB.

This is a nice step in the right direction, however President Bush has stated previously that he would veto any bill that was over his budget request.

The man's got a war to run people! He can't be wasting valuable taxpayer money on petty little things like public broadcasting or free speech.

But soon enough, the regime will change and hopefully the CPB's budget will be approved during the next presidency.

As always, stay tuned.
