There will be Oscars

With the recent news that the WGA has called for a private meeting on Saturday to discuss the terms of the contract, there is a possibility that the writers strike could be over as early as next week. And while this TV season has pretty much been tossed into the recycle bin (Hollywood doesn't throw anything away, they just "re-imagine" it a year later) the writers for this years Academy Awards show should have enough time to sharpen their pencils and generate just enough cheezy awkward on-stage celebrity banter to bore us into the requisite 4 hour coma - just long enough to see who will win the big gold bragging rights for this year.

To that end, here is some commentary by David Spade about this year's nominees for Best Picture, done in the style of the one we all think is a shoe-in for the win:
