New Director Takes Over for Wolfman Film

After last weeks news that director Mark Romanek would rather direct cars at the local drive-thru, than sacrifice his creative genius on the new "Wolfman" flick for less than $100 million, Harry over at Aint it Cool news got a tip that the new director to take the helm of the legendary lycanthrope opus will be none other than Joe Johnston.

Who is Joe Johnston, you may ask? (OK, I had to ask too.) He's the director that's brought us "The Rocketeer," "October Sky," "Honey I Shrunk the Kids," "Jumanji," "Jurassic Park III" and "Hidalgo." He was also the art director for visual effects on "Empire Strikes Back," "Return of the Jedi" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark." So it sounds like he might know what he's doing.

Here's to hoping Joe can salvage whatever was started by his hack predecessor and make a half-way decent horror movie for audiences.
