Best Buy Endorses Blu-ray

Yet another nail in the HD-DVD format coffin as retailer Best Buy has announced that it will support Blu-ray hardware and software products, but will not completely eliminate HD-DVD for the time being.

First there was Warner Bros. announcement that they were going to release their new films exclusively in Blu-ray, which was followed quickly by Universal and Paramount both backing the high-def format. And now this notice from the nations largest retailer of consumer electronics.

While no one has completly eliminated their support altogether for the HD-DVD format, it's safe to say that HD-DVD is all but dead at this point.
