The Wolfman Will Go On

I know what you were thinking. "Will the recent WGA strike delay my inevitable disappointment in seeing a terrible remake of a classic horror movie?"

The answer is an emphatic, no.

According to the website Bloody Disgusting, the Wolfman, staring an already hirsute Benicio Del Toro (seen here playfully attacking FX wizard Stan Winston) will go on as planned:

"we have just confirmed that Mark Romanek will be heading [behind] the camera on February 8 in London to begin shooting the film starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins! Like the 1941 original that starred Lon Chaney Jr., new pic will be set in Victorian England. Del Toro will play a man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence. We'll all be howling at the moon on February 13, 2009."
