Wow, did I really predict that Sweeney Todd was going to win the weekend? Clearly this shows that despite being a critic for 10 years, I know nothing about movie watching audiences.
Instead of a barber that slices up people with razors and sings about it, audiences instead wanted to see an implausibly-plotted treasure hunt movie where Nick Cage pretends he's not losing his hair.
This was followed by Will Smith's horror movie and three animated chipmunks (also a horror movie in my opinion).
OK, I'm going back to my egg nog bender and setting bear traps in the fireplace. Merry Christmas!
