Beta Test of "Pirates of the Burning Sea"

After waiting for over a year and a half, through all the delays and bug fixes and the zipped-up tight mouths of the early beta testers, the "Open Beta" phase of the much-anticipated massive, multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) "Pirates of the Burning Sea" is officially underway. And now anyone and everyone can take the game for a spin to try it out.

And what's better, is that Flying Lab Software, the developers of this game have also lifted the non-disclosure agreement associated with the game. Which means that you should expect to see a WHOLE lot more news and talk about this game in the next few weeks.

I'll give you the bullet points:

Its massive.
Its got pirates and cannons and swashbuckling and death and stuff
You can be part of the British, the French, a privateer, or a pirate. You sail different beautifully rendered ships on an amazing sea.

I could go on and on about how utterly beautiful this game is, but this video clip from G4-TV shows you all the pretty pictures I'm talking about. Check it out below:

I will be doing a review of the game once I've had a chance to play around with it a little bit. So far my total game time playing is only about an hour or so, and I couldn't really learn a whole lot in that time except how to get my ass shot up by a bunch of marauding pirates. Once I have a better grip on the gameplay and overall experience, I will give a full review.

To find out more about the game, along with more movies and tons of gorgeous screenshots, visit the game's website here.
