Star Trek Casting: are we done yet?

They're casting parts for JJ Abrams new Trek movie at a breakneck pace now. Let's see if I can keep up:

First, we reported that during Comicon JJ confirmed that the role of Spock would be played by both Leonard Nimoy and the younger version by Zacchary Quinto.

Then came news that Tom Cruise MAY have a cameo part in the film. (something I still don't completely believe.)

Then there was the report that Chris Pine is probably going to be the young Kirk and Eric Bana is going to play a bad guy for the story.

Then came the news that Zoe Saldana will play Uhura. and somewhere along the line we also learned that Anton Yelchin would play Chekov.

And NOW, it looks like they've cast John Cho (Harold & Kumar) as Sulu, and Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) as Scotty.

So other than "Yeoman Smith," the token no-name guy that always gets killed when the team of everyone important beams down to the mysterious planet - it looks like all the major parts are cast.

Who would have thought that the threat of a union strike would actually help to expedite getting this bureaucratic mess underway faster!

Mucho thanks to for helping me compile all of this crazy information.
