ABC's "Private Practice" got picked up for a full-season run yesterday.
Awarding the "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off's "back nine" (in other words the 9 remaining episodes of the season, bringing the total episodes to 22) was a no-brainer for ABC. Its become the highest rated new-comer of the season. The show has held the number one spot in the coveted 18-49 demographic for the past four weeks and according to Variety, it's averaged a 4.7 rating in the demo, with a 12 share and 12.8 million viewers so far to date. Those are pretty solid numbers.
Personally, I think the show is a contrived mess with the doctors hamming it up for the easy joke and the cheap titilation, but I'm a sucker for redheads, so I watch it every week.
