I havent really been following the goings-on with America's favorite football hero turned acquitted murderer, but this story is just getting weird.
Here's what we know: Thursday, OJ and a few of his entourage "allegedly" went into a room at the Palace Station Hotel in Vegas and re-appropriated a bunch of memorabillia that Simpson claims was his.
Alfred Beardsley, a memorabilia dealer had secured several items of Simpson's including the suit that OJ was wearing the day he was acquitted. Beardsley had arranged to meet with someone who said they were interested in purchasing the stuff. It turns out the man was part of Simpson's crew.
Beardsley says the men, pretending to be police officers stormed into the room at gunpoint and took everything, including a signed photo of Joe Montana and a case of unreleased leatherbound copies of OJ's book "I Want to Tell You."
After they left, Beardsley called 911.
Last night, one of the men that "allegedly" stormed the room was arrested on two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary with a deadly weapon. Two guns were also seized.
Simpson had previously said he was innocent. "I'm not walking around feeling sad or anything. I've done nothing wrong,"
But that was before police arrested him for probable cause yesterday.Simpson is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
