When I first heard that they were doing a CGI version of the Beowulf story, I immediately signed up for the webmaster program and waited paitently for further information. Then almost as soon as I had entered my information, I forgot my password (as one is want to do when one is subscribed to far too many PR related sites).
Since that time I have attempted to contact the webmasters to inform them I need the login information reset or re-sent to me so that I can use the material and post updates about Robert Zemekis' s film here at the Morgue. Apparently that has fallen on deaf ears - or rather no ears as email directed to the webmaster just bounces.
So here I sit with no official information about the film, other than what I have personally researched with no help from Zemekis and company.
OK, enough of my rant. Here is the news:
In addition to a site redesign, they've posted an age-restricted version of the trailer online. If you can convince the internet sentries that you are old enough, you can see more footage of a computer generated Angelina Jolie's boobs. (and they're fantastic, of course)
Seriously, the improvements to the CGI for this film has finally reached a point where you really can forget you are watching something that is computer generated and just lose yourself in the story. It looks absolutely amazing and it appears the Zemekis has made sure to make this as bloody and sexy as possible.
Beowulf opens November 16th, just in time for the start of the holiday movie season.
