WWE Wrestlers Suspended for Steroid Use

In the wake of the Chris Benoit murder/suicide, the World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended ten wrestlers for illegal steroid use:

Under a WWE wellness policy instituted last year that requires tests for steroids and other drugs, a wrestler faces a 30-day suspension without pay for a first violation, a 60-day suspension for a second violation and firing for a third violation. Performers are tested at least four times per year.

"We are very actively working to eradicate the use of steroids and performance enhancing drugs in the WWE," WWE spokesman Gary Davis said. "Today's action is part of that effort."

The WWE wouldn't comment on which wrestlers were suspended, but we're sure it won't be hard to figure it out if you are a die-hard watcher of "Monday Night Raw", or one of the other many television shows and PPV events that the WWE floods into mainstream living rooms every month.

USA Today is the only source that mentions that 30 wrestlers were suspended. I have not been able to find out any more information.

You might be able to find out more info by browsing the wrestling message forums out there. I really have no interest.
