As you can see, I've been a busy little coroner, hacking and slashing the code of Media Morgue to revise and update the look of the place a bit. I'm pretty happy with the re-design, but there are a few things I would still like to do (like background images, for example) however every time I attempt this, I end up butchering the code to the point that it doesn't work. Blogger offers some detailed pages on how to add background images to the site, but for some reason, I cant get the code to work right.
If there is anyone out there that would be willing to help us tweak our code a bit more, I would gladly pay you for your time. Please drop me a note and let me know.
Second, I have attempted to go legit with the morgue and get our own domain outside of the blogger family. However, someone has already grabbed "mediamorgue.com" (as well as .net, and .org) and in discussing this with the domain owner, was informed that he intends to use the domain to run a website that specializes in entertainment news, and movie and television reviews. How original! While this fellow may have held the rights to the domain name, he's been sitting on it for over two years doing nothing. I am not going to give someone a hard time about squatting on a domain name, but to do the exact same thing that we have been doing every day for almost a year seems a little cold.
However, rest assured that this will not deter the ORIGINAL Media Morgue from continuing its goal of poking at the big dogs of Hollywood with a pointy stick. If there are to be two sites called Media Morgue, so be it. We may not have had the name, but we were here first and I'll be damned if I am going to have someone run me off my own turf.
And finally, we are in desperate need of some additional writers. Your's truly has been swamped with work and it is challenging to write as many articles as I would like in a given day. If you are a journalist and would like to have your words published here, again, drop me a note and we'll talk.
Thanks for your continued support of the site.
