Larry is having a problem with his pension. He gets a domestic partnership with his best friend Chuck so that his benefits will be able to be used for his children. Hilarity was suppose to ensue but did not in the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

I like Adam Sandler and Kevin James. I think Jessica Biel is hot. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are funny guys and in this movie they just are not enough funny. There is not one scene in the movie that stood out as HAHAHAHA…at all. I did laugh and there are parts that were funny but for the most part most things were just haha as in that’s ok funny. Biel is hot, as I said, but as for her acting in this movie it was just too giggly and lacked any thing that would have had me take her seriously when the movie scene called for it.

After all the failed attempts to make scenes that were funny enough to stick to the memory of the viewers the end came around. The problem with the end was that it was not as HUGE as the led up. There was all this lying going on about how Chuck and Larry were gay and when the end came it led to nothing spectacular. It’s like a HUGE explosion happening that shakes the very foundation of a home and when you go and look at where the explosion took place and all you find is a tiny needle hole. It doesn’t satisfy the BOOM.

I did have a favorite scene and it is with James as the Fruit of the Loom Apple. The costume party was awesome and funny. But that is the only scene that I really liked. The kids in the movie also had a part in some funny moments…splits. Ha.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is cleverer in name than in film and I do not see myself really buying it or ever wanting to see it again. The movie had a valid point to it but it presented it in such a none neato way that I cared not for how it really panned out. It even forced a Spartacus moment into the end and I think it would have worked had it not been done in a cheesy manner. I wanted it to work out but it didn’t work out.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry could have and should have been better but that’s how marriage works….50/50 with a chance of divorce and in movie speak chance of suck…which is a word that goes hand in hand with one of the movie’s themes but this is the bad suck…such is life.
