So Stupid, Even a Caveman Could Produce It

According to Variety, ABC is working on a series about the cavemen characters from the Geico Insurance commercials:

"Cavemen" will revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they attempt to live as normal thirtysomethings in modern Atlanta.

Project, from ABC TV Studio, is penned by Joe Lawson, an advertising copywriter who was behind the "Caveman" ads -- as well as other Geico commercials (think the cockney-speaking Geico gecko, and the reality TV spoof "Tiny House").

Seriously fellas, hasn't this little routine been done to death? Aren't we all pretty-much sick of seeing these characters every 7.5 minutes? And now you want to do a Sit Com with them?

I cant wait to see how they are going to make this successful.

I can understand why people would not use Geico Insurance, as for the caveman, that is growing old and usually I change the channel so that I don't have to watch Geico's crap about cavemen.
Geico wake up and change your ads, the caveman commercials are growing old and stale.

that is true, I don't know anyone in the history of tv commercials who milks a single idea past its shelf life more than Geico.

By the way, i really love this site. I've read some of the other blogs and i really like your angle of being critical of the press and stuff. I'm not just saying that, this is one of the best 2 or 3 blogs i've read. You think a lot of the stuff i'm thinking, it seems. i'm definitely gonna link to your site and if you ever want to go over to my site and read some of my stuff, awesome.

Wow. Thanks for the compliment. I am glad to hear that you like my thoughts. I just love to piss and moan about Hollywood and this is a great way to vent. Sure I may not have as many hits per day as ol' Perez, but I'm glad to hear I connect.
