Night at the Museum was a simple story line about a father trying to not disappoint his son. Every time he had tried his trying was only making things worse. He then found a job at the museum as night security and found a whole new world that opened up many possibilities. It gave him a sense of purpose and in the end his trying made things better.
Every time I went to the museum when I was younger I would imagine things coming to life at night. I wanted to spend the night at the museum and see if I was right. Seeing this movie made me remember that and it ended up making the movie that much more awesome. I’m going to buy this movie because it reminds me of when I was younger and it was a great memory to be reminded of. This is one of those movies that I can watch and feel better after it’s all said and done.
I was amazed at the language in the film. It’s PG and that would be because of mild fighting between certain characters not for language, which is why the language amazed me because it was very clean. There were no four letter words, no sexual innuendos, no underline meanings, and no vulgar jokes. It was a clean movie. It was even cleaner than some computer animated cartoons. Even though it was clean the movie was still funny and entertaining. This movie is a kid’s movie that adults can enjoy as well. And it was not dumb down for kids either. It is a clever movie apparently adapted from a clever book.
There were no slow parts. The movie had even pace and it did not dwell on any one thing for longer than need be. There was no over saturation of any one character. The minor characters even had unique things about them that gave them a personality without having to give them time that the movie could not waste.
Night at the Museum is a simple movie. The trailer shows you what you’re going to get when you sit down and watch the movie. If you like the trailer you will most likely like the movie. If you thought the trailer was not great well then don’t see it because you probably will not like the movie. But I liked it because it was simple and not over complicated and it was exactly what I had hoped it to be. It was a great Night at the Museum for me.
