Burton Explains That It Can't Rain All the Time

Contactmusic.com reports that Tim Burton is growing tired of his dark reputation:
"Really, I could come out in a light-blue leisure suit and it still wouldn't change people's take on you. We all have our moments of depression or darkness but it's not like I'm hanging out in a cave."
Burton then flicked his cape in a Lugosi-esque gesture and disappeared into the night as a Danny Elfman score plodded methodically underneath.

Sorry Tim, but when you put out films like The Corpse bride, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Batman and Edward Sissorhands; one of your heros is Vincent Price; and you are madly in love with Helena Bonham Carter - who usually looks like death warmed over - you are sadly leaving yourself wide open to get a following by the eye-liner, velvet and fishnet crowd whether you like it or not.

And if you ever did start wearing light-blue leisure suits, our guess is that it would just become the hottest selling fashions at Hot Topic.

You know he'd just accessorize that leisure suit in some dark and gothy manner with all the crap they have at Hot Topic.
